Force the answer into a decision matrix
Lesson 6 of 7 · Compliance & safe AI use
1 · Learn the move · Comparison matrix
When the question is which of three unit formats to run, a prose answer picks for you. A matrix does not: rows are the options, columns are your criteria, and every cell is filled from what you gave it or marked as yours to fill. The model builds the grid. The decision stays yours, and the grid is what makes that visible.
Compare these three options in a matrix. Rows: the options. Columns: the criteria I list. Fill a cell only from what I gave you; otherwise write [YOUR CALL: ...]. Do not recommend one.
2 · Your turn. You write the prompt
The ecosystems lab can run three ways: the full three-trial version, a two-trial version that fits one period, or a simulation on the laptops. You have the period length, the materials on hand and the break in week 3. Make it a matrix.
Write the prompt for this scenario as given, or swap in a real one from your own work. The score works the same either way.
Remember: the AI sees only your prompt, not this page. If the situation isn't in your prompt, it doesn't exist.
Optional. These shape the output when you run your prompt below, not your score.
