Acceptable Use Policy
Effective July 30, 2026 · Part of the Terms of Service.
Plain-language summary; not a substitute for legal review.
You agree not to use the Service, or any output from it, to do — or help anyone do — the following:
Discrimination and misrepresentation
- Discriminate against, target, or exclude anyone on the basis of a protected class, in any use of the Service.
- Publish AI output as fact without verifying it, or in a way that misrepresents a property, a price, a deadline, or your professional role.
- Paste a student’s name, student ID, date of birth, parent or guardian name, address, grade beside a name, IEP or 504 content, discipline record or health note into the Service or into any tool it drafts for, without having decided under FERPA, COPPA where learners are under thirteen, and your district’s policy whether the disclosure is permitted and who in the district makes that call.
- Let output make a placement, a grade, an accommodation, a discipline step, a referral or a contact home, or present any of those as decided by anything but the teacher and the building’s process.
- Present a drafted note, plan, present-levels statement or report-card comment as reviewed, a paste as permitted, or a redaction as complete, or tell anyone that a draft or a tool satisfies FERPA, COPPA, a state statute or a district policy.
- Put a tool in front of students, or use output to give advice to a family or a student as though the Service, rather than the teacher and the district, had given it.
Unlawful and abusive use
- Violate any law, professional rule, or code of ethics that applies to your work.
- Infringe others’ rights, submit others’ personal data without authorization, or attempt to breach security, scrape, or reverse-engineer the Service.
Human review
Every output is a draft. You are responsible for having a qualified person review and approve content before it is published or relied upon. We may suspend accounts that violate this policy.
