Start with the outcome

Build-along · ~15 min at your own keyboard

Most people start with the AI part and wonder why it keeps getting things wrong. A rule of thumb helps. About 60 percent of the work is data and questions. What is actually true, and what the person needs next. About 30 percent is structure and tools you already have, such as a calendar, a spreadsheet and fixed rules. About 10 percent is the AI doing the writing. The numbers are rough on purpose. A fluent reply about a room that was never booked is a data problem, and no better prompt fixes it. Work out the 60 and the 30 first.

Your starter: Outcome and the 60 30 10 split

Template

Make it yours: Answer for one real job. Make the outcome name a person and what they can do next.

Job: [what you do for someone]
Who it is for: [person]
What they need to do next: [decide, send, fix or approve something]
Where the information comes from today: [source]
What breaks and who feels it: [the failure]

Outcome: [person] can [do or decide what] by [when].

60, data and questions:
- [fact or question] lives in [place]
30, structure and tools I already have:
- [file, tool or fixed rule]
10, the AI part:
- [what it writes or decides]

The coach checks that what you paste back is your own work. The starter pasted back unchanged won't pass.
